Mufasa: The Lion King investigates the unexpected rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands and recruits Rafiki to tell the legend of Mufasa to the young lioness Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, while Timon and Pumbaa lend their unique talents. The story, told in flashbacks, presents Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone, until he meets a friendly lion named Taka, heir to a royal lineage. A chance meeting sets off an unusual group of misfits on an extensive journey in search of their destiny: their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a menacing and deadly enemy.
